Ghazi University Entry Test 2026-27

This guide covers entry test requirements for undergraduate admission to Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan in 2026-27. Most BS applicants will not sit a test; the sections below explain the exceptions, eligibility, fees, dates and how to prepare.

Which Test Is Required

• BS (all faculties), BBA, B.Ed. — open merit on Intermediate marks; no entry test.
• Post-ADP 5th-semester entry — merit on ADP result.
• MS/MPhil — NTS GAT General (50%) or Ghazi University Test (50%).
• PhD — NTS GAT Subject (60%) or Ghazi University Test (60%).
• Candidates with a valid NTS GAT card are exempt from the university test (graduate level only).

Eligibility

• Intermediate (FSc, FA, ICS, I.Com) or equivalent with 45–50% depending on programme, per the Fall 2026 advertisement.
• Students awaiting Part-II results may apply provisionally.
• Maximum age 24 years, relaxable with approval (per the advertisement — verify on the official website).
• Subject prerequisites for science, agriculture and computing programmes as notified.

Registration and Fee

Apply on admissions.gudgk.edu.pk. Processing fee for BS: Rs. 1,000; graduate programmes: Rs. 1,500 (Fall 2026 advertisement — check the official website).

Schedule

Fall 2026: BS/B.Ed./diploma deadline 21 August 2026; MS/MPhil/PhD deadline 7 August with the graduate test on 12 August 2026 (as advertised — verify on the official website). Merit lists followed in late August–September. Spring 2027 is not announced.

How Admission Works Without a Test

For BS admission at Ghazi University, every eligible applicant is ranked by merit computed from Intermediate marks within each programme. Open-merit seats are filled first, then reserved categories. Merit lists appear as PDFs on the home page and candidates must deposit the fee within the days stated on each list; otherwise the seat moves to the next list. Because the university also handles 25 affiliated colleges, the post-ADP 5th-semester intake runs on a separate list based on ADP marks. Keep your portal login safe — it is also where fee challans and admission letters are issued.

Preparation Tips

• Secure the highest possible Intermediate percentage; it is the entire merit for BS.
• Choose programmes whose subject prerequisites you meet (e.g. Pre-Medical/Pre-Agriculture for agriculture degrees).
• Check last year’s merit lists on the home page to set realistic preferences.
• Submit well before 21 August-type deadlines; the portal is busiest in the final days.
• If you later aim for MS, note that a valid NTS GAT card exempts you from the university test.
