About This Entry Test
Hamdard University screens undergraduate applicants through its own admission test and an interview, with MDCAT applying to its medical and dental college. This guide pulls together what the official FAQ and admissions pages confirm. For context see the Hamdard University profile and the Hamdard University admissions 2026-27.

Eligibility
Applicants must hold Intermediate, A Levels, a High School Diploma, Baccalaureate or an equivalent qualification and meet the grade and subject requirements on the Admissions Criteria page. Students awaiting results may apply if they can reasonably meet the requirement. Those who fall short can ask the Office of Admissions for a case-by-case decision.
Registration and Fee
Apply at https://admission.hamdard.edu.pk/. The online application processing fee is Rs. 1,500 (excluding the Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology, whose fee you should check on the official website), payable at any UBL branch using the generated voucher. Applications cannot be edited after submission.
Schedule
Hamdard runs two intakes: Spring commencing in November and Fall starting in May, per the FAQ. Exact test dates for 2026-27 are not listed on the public pages, so check the official website and the portal banner.
Merit Formula
No weightage formula is published. Admission is decided on the test, academic record and interview. Check the official website.
Expect the interview to probe why you chose the program and whether you understand its workload; for engineering and health sciences, admission staff may also ask about your Intermediate subject combination. Candidates for MBBS and BDS should note that the Hamdard test does not replace MDCAT, and that the college follows the PMDC admission calendar rather than the university’s general Spring and Fall timetable.
Preparation Tips
- Revise core Intermediate subjects for your program: Maths and Physics for engineering, Biology and Chemistry for health sciences, English and quantitative reasoning for business.
- Practise English comprehension and basic analytical questions, which are common to most private-university tests.
- If you have an SAT I or GMAT result above the exemption threshold, upload it to save time, but still prepare for the interview.
- Submit the form early; Hamdard does not allow edits after submission.
- Keep the paid UBL voucher safe; the admit card depends on it.
