COMSATS University Islamabad

COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) is a public-sector university established in 1998 that has grown into one of the largest multi-campus universities in Pakistan. It is best known for computer science, software engineering, engineering and business programs and admits students twice a year, in Fall and Spring.

Admission Process

Apply online through the CUI admission portal (admissions.comsats.edu.pk): create an account, enter personal, address and education details, optionally add NTS test details, select up to three program choices, pay the admission processing fee and submit. Admissions are held twice a year for Fall (classes start in the first week of September) and Spring (first week of February). Merit is prepared under the CUI admission criteria applicable to each program and session.

Entry Test and Merit

The CUI online application includes an NTS (NAT) section where applicants can enter a valid NTS result or registration; the portal marks it optional and states that test requirements depend on the program and session. The exact merit formula and weightage are published in the admission criteria for each session: check the official website.

Approximate Fee Range

Under the Fall 2025 fee structure, new undergraduate batches pay approximately PKR 135,000 to 167,000 per semester depending on the program (other programs 135,000; Computer Sciences 146,000; Engineering 151,500; Pharmacy 160,500; Architecture and Design 167,000, each including a PKR 7,000 registration fee), plus a one-time admission fee of PKR 22,000. Fees are revised regularly.
