UHS Entry Test 2026-27

For the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore the entry test question has one answer with two meanings. MDCAT, owned by PM&DC, is the test for MBBS and BDS — and UHS is the body that physically conducts it in Punjab, marks it and publishes the result. For UHS’s own on-campus undergraduate programmes, admission is through an online application and selection lists in which MDCAT or academic merit is used as specified in the Fall notice. Which Test Is Required

• MBBS and BDS at public or private colleges in Punjab: MDCAT (PM&DC), conducted in Punjab by UHS.
• UHS on-campus undergraduate programmes: online application on portals.uhs.edu.pk/ug; the merit basis is stated in each Fall notice (check the official website for whether MDCAT is required for a given programme).
• Postgraduate MS/MD/MPhil: UHS Postgraduate Entrance Test (PGET), with a published Table of Specifications.

Test Pattern

PM&DC fixes the MDCAT blueprint nationally; UHS applies it in Punjab. MDCAT 2026 was held on 20 September 2026 (rescheduled from 16 August 2026 — Source: PM&DC). The question count, marks, duration and marking policy are published by PM&DC on https://mdcat.pmdc.pk.

Eligibility

• FSc Pre-Medical or an IBCC-equivalent qualification with the minimum percentage set in the UHS MBBS/BDS admission policy 2026-27.
• A valid MDCAT 2026 score above the PM&DC pass mark.
• Punjab domicile for provincial public seats; separate categories for overseas, reciprocal and disabled candidates as per the policy.
• For UHS on-campus programmes: intermediate in the relevant group — check the Fall notice.

Registration and Fee

MDCAT registration is on the PM&DC portal; the 2026 registration date was extended by public notice (PM&DC notice). The test fee is in that notice — check the official website. The UHS MBBS/BDS application has its own processing fee stated on the portal.

Schedule

MDCAT 2026: 20 September 2026 (verified). Result: published on results.uhs.edu.pk. MBBS/BDS public college applications: opened mid-October 2026 according to college notices; deadline — check the official website. On-campus Fall 2026: selection lists already issued (Phase II notice posted). PGET 2026: notice issued; date — check the official website.

The official MBBS/BDS formula is in the Admission Policy 2026-27 PDF. Because the document is a scanned image we do not reproduce weightages here; check the official website. For reference, affiliated colleges such as KEMU use Matric 10% / FSc 45% / MDCAT 45% for their allied health programmes.

Preparation Tips

• Download the PM&DC MDCAT syllabus and tick off every learning outcome; UHS papers stay inside it.
• Build a 60/40 habit: 60% of study time on Biology and Chemistry, 40% on Physics, English and reasoning.
• Practise under exam timing from August onward; speed matters more than depth in the last weeks.
• Keep an error log — repeated conceptual mistakes cost more than unknown topics.
• Register early on the PM&DC portal and check that your name, CNIC and photo match your FSc record to avoid admit-card problems.
