UO Entry Test 2026-27
About This Entry Test
This guide explains what test, if any, you need for undergraduate admission to the University of Okara for the 2026-27 session, how merit is worked out and how to prepare. Everything here is drawn from the university’s official website and admission portal; where the university has not published a figure, we say so instead of guessing.
Which Test Is Required
The University of Okara does not run a university-wide written entry test for its four-year BS programmes. Admission to BS, BBA, LL.B., B.Ed. and similar programmes is on open merit based on your Intermediate (and in some cases Matric) marks. A few programmes have extra requirements set out in the admission advertisement:
- BS / BBA / BS Education / LL.B. — open merit on Intermediate marks; no separate test is listed.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) — FSc Pre-Medical with the minimum percentage set in the advertisement; the university does not require MDCAT for Pharm.D. (MDCAT is for MBBS/BDS only).
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts, Graphic Design, Fashion and Textile Design) — a drawing or aptitude test may be held by the department; check the official website.
- Sports and reserved quotas — trials or document verification as announced.
Test Pattern
Because no general entry test is prescribed, there is no official test pattern to publish. If a department conducts an aptitude test, the pattern is notified by that department.
| Item | Detail |
| Test name | None for most BS programmes (open merit) |
| Sections / MCQs | Not applicable — check the official website for any departmental test |
| Marks / duration | Check the official website |
| Negative marking | Check the official website |
Eligibility
- Intermediate (FSc, FA, ICS, I.Com) or an equivalent qualification; the minimum percentage is stated programme-wise in the admission advertisement (commonly in the 45–50% range for BS, higher for Pharm.D.).
- Candidates awaiting their Part-II result can usually apply on Part-I marks and must submit the final result before merit is finalised.
- Post-ADP (5th semester) entry requires a relevant two-year Associate Degree.
- Age limits and domicile conditions, if any, are listed in the official advertisement.
Registration and Fee
There is no separate test registration. You apply through uoadmissions.uo.edu.pk, select programmes and pay the application processing fee printed on the system-generated challan. The processing fee amount for 2026-27 is not stated on the public website — check the official website or the portal.
Schedule
Fall intake applications typically open in June or July with merit lists in August–September; late or second-phase admissions may run into October. The university has not published fixed dates for Spring 2027 on its website — check the official website and our admission record.
Merit Formula
The University of Okara has not published a weightage formula on its main website. In practice, open-merit admission at Punjab public universities ranks candidates on Intermediate marks (with Hafiz-e-Quran marks added where the rules allow). Confirm the exact formula in the prospectus or with the admission office.
Preparation Tips
- Your Intermediate percentage is the merit — if you are in Part II, focus on maximising board marks rather than on a test.
- Keep a scanned set of documents ready (Matric and Inter certificates, CNIC/B-Form, photo, domicile) so you can apply on day one.
- Apply for more than one programme; the portal lets you add extra choices for a small additional fee.
- Check last year’s closing merit for your programme through the merit list page before fixing your choices.
- Follow the merit list page and your portal dashboard daily during the announcement window — fee deadlines are short.
