BSc Civil Engineering at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Peshawar is the university’s oldest and largest engineering programme, taught since the institution began as a college in 1952. It is a four-year, PEC-accredited degree offered at the main campus in Peshawar and, according to the 2026-27 undergraduate prospectus, also at the Jalozai (Nowshera) and Bannu campuses.

Program Overview

The curriculum covers engineering mechanics and surveying in the first year, then structural analysis, reinforced concrete and steel design, geotechnical engineering, transportation and highway engineering, hydraulics, irrigation and hydrology, environmental engineering, construction management and quantity surveying. Survey camps, materials and soil laboratories and a final year design project are integral parts of the degree.

Civil Engineering suits students who like physics and mathematics and want to design roads, bridges, dams, buildings and water systems. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s hydropower, highway and reconstruction projects give UET Peshawar civil graduates strong local relevance.
