Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology Khuzdar

Balochistan University of Engineering and Technology, Khuzdar (BUETK) is the province’s dedicated public engineering university, located in Khuzdar in central Balochistan. It began as an engineering college in 1987 and was later upgraded to a university. BUETK is known for its Bachelor of Engineering programs in civil, mechanical, electrical and computer systems engineering, and it has steadily added newer fields such as software, biomedical and energy systems engineering. Admission Process

BUETK admits under a regular scheme and a self-finance scheme. The current official notice is for Spring 2027, posted on 1 September 2026 with the form-submission date extended (Source: https://www.buetk.edu.pk). Applicants can use the online admissions system or download the printed form, attach documents and the processing-fee receipt, and send the complete file to the Admissions Cell before the closing date (Source: https://www.buetk.edu.pk/?p=11991). Required documents include two copies each of the HSSC (Pre-Engineering), BSc or DAE certificate, SSC certificate, CNIC or B-Form, domicile, character certificate and a fitness certificate from the District Health Officer, plus six photographs and the original bank draft or fee challan. Processing fee amount: check official website (a challan is generated at buetk.edu.pk/GenFiChallan).

The admissions page does not describe an entry test or a merit formula; the eligibility PDF linked from it dates from Fall 2021. Treat this as unconfirmed and read the BUETK entry test guide for what is and is not known.

Fee Structure

No current fee table is published on the pages we could verify; the only prospectus on the site is for 2021-22 and should not be relied on. Self-finance seats cost considerably more than regular seats. Check the official website or the fee challan portal for the 2026-27 figures.

Why Students Choose BUETK

BUETK is the only public engineering university in Balochistan, so students who want a PEC-track engineering degree without moving to Karachi or Lahore choose it, and the provincial domicile quota makes it accessible. It is a smaller institution than UET Lahore or UET Peshawar, and facilities reflect that, but the engineering programs are the province’s main pipeline into the public sector.
