Islamia College Peshawar

Islamia College Peshawar is a public-sector university in Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Its story begins in 1913, when the college opened as a centre of modern education for the Frontier region, and the campus with its red-brick Indo-Saracenic buildings is still one of the most recognisable academic landmarks in the province. Today the institution awards its own BS, BBA, LLB, MS and PhD degrees and is listed among the recognised public universities on the Higher Education Commission (HEC) roll. It is best known for its historic campus, its strong science and social science departments, and a long alumni tradition in the civil service, politics and academia of Pakistan.

Admission Process

Islamia College admits undergraduates once a year for the fall intake. Applications are submitted online only; the college does not accept paper forms. The main 2026 round opened on 6 June 2026 and closed on 24 June 2026, and a re-advertisement round for vacant seats closed on 8 September 2026.

Create an account on the admissions portal linked from icp.edu.pk.
Fill in the online registration form and choose your program.
Print the fee voucher and deposit the processing fee of Rs. 2,000 (Rs. 2,200 for candidates applying on sports seats) at any UBL branch.
Log in again, upload the paid voucher and submit the form — forms without an uploaded voucher are not considered.
Print the submitted form and bring it with the original voucher, attested DMC of FA/FSc Part I and CNIC, Form B or domicile to the interview.

Entry Test and Merit

There is no college entry test for BS and BBA programs. Merit is prepared on FA/FSc Part I (first-year) marks, with a minimum of 45 percent (50 percent for Computer Science, Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence). Hafiz-e-Quran candidates who pass the committee test receive 20 extra marks. LLB applicants must have passed the HEC Law Admission Test (LAT). The full semester fee is payable at the time of admission and instalments are not accepted.
