Admission Process

Kinnaird admits once a year for Fall. The 2026 cycle opened on 29 June 2026 (official announcement) with a 10 July 2026 application deadline. Applicants apply through the online portal and submit the form at the designated Askari Bank branch. Depending on the major, candidates then sit an aptitude test or attend an interview. Merit lists are posted on the website and fee challans are paid at the Bank of Punjab branch on campus. The application fee is not stated in the guidelines; check the official website.

Entry Test and Merit

Five majors (Fine Arts, Design, English Literature, Applied Linguistics, Computer Sciences) use an aptitude test; all other majors use an interview. The merit weightage is not published in the guidelines, so check the official handbook. See the Kinnaird entry test page.

Fee Structure

Fee figures are not in the admission guidelines we verified; the college publishes separate fee-structure pages. Check the official website for the current per-semester fee of each major, and compare options in our universities archive.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

Kinnaird has a scholarships section on its website; specific schemes and amounts were not verifiable here, so check the official website. Reserved seats exist for sports, uniquely abled students, minorities and provincial nominees, as per the official guidelines. Our scholarships archive covers national schemes.

Campuses

Kinnaird operates from its single historic campus on Jail Road, Lahore. No sub-campuses are listed. See the campuses archive.

Why Students Choose Kinnaird

Kinnaird offers a century-old women-only academic environment in central Lahore, a wide choice of majors from biotechnology to law, and a published, fixed admission calendar with interviews that reward genuine interest rather than only marks. No official ranking is quoted by the college, so none is given here.

Kinnaird occupies a green, walled campus on Jail Road in the centre of Lahore, with hostel blocks for out-of-city students, a sports ground, auditoriums and a long tradition of dramatics, debating and music societies. Because it still enrols intermediate students, many BS entrants come up from Kinnaird’s own FA/FSc classes, but the majority of BS seats are filled by external applicants from across Punjab and other provinces.

A distinctive feature of Kinnaird admissions is the paper-and-bank process: the online portal generates the form, but it must be physically submitted at a named Askari Bank branch, and successful candidates pay through a challan at the Bank of Punjab branch on campus. Applicants from outside Lahore should plan a trip, or arrange submission through a relative, well before the July deadline.
