Abasyn University Peshawar

Abasyn University is a private-sector university in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with its main campus on Ring Road (Charsadda Link) and a second campus in Islamabad. It was established in December 2007 through an ordinance of the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following an HEC recommendation, and the charter was ratified by the provincial assembly as Act No. XIII of 2009. Abasyn is known locally for engineering, computing, pharmacy, nursing and allied health degrees, and for an admission test that can be replaced by an NTS score.

Admission Process

Abasyn runs Fall and Spring intakes. The Fall 2026 notice circulated in October set the application deadline at 16 October 2026, so the Fall cycle is now in its final phase; Spring 2027 has not been announced. The official Islamabad campus admission page describes the process:

1. Obtain the application packet (PKR 1,000) from the admission office or apply online through abasyn.edu.pk.
2. Submit the completed form with attested documents before the deadline announced in newspapers and on social media.
3. Sit the Abasyn entry test (or submit an acceptable NTS/TOEFL/IELTS score).
4. Check the merit list and pay the admission and first-semester fees.

Entry Test and Merit

Abasyn’s own entry test covers English, Mathematics, and Logic and Analytical Reasoning; NTS, TOEFL or IELTS scores may be accepted in place of it. Engineering, pharmacy and nursing admissions additionally meet PEC, Pharmacy Council and nursing council requirements. No merit weightage is published. See the Abasyn entry test guide.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

• Admission-time tuition waivers of 10% to 100% for first-semester students on eligibility.
• Merit waiver up to 30% from second semester with a minimum GPA/CGPA of 3.00.
• Need-based scholarships; orphan students up to 50%; special (differently-abled) students up to 50%.
• Kinship/sibling scholarship 10% throughout the program; government employee discount up to 30% for master’s students.
